Intel Core i7-7700 处理器似乎有些温度问题，但官方说法让人觉得无奈。
有Intel Core i7-7700处理器的使用者碰到未超频却出现温度偏高情况（90摄氏度，194华氏度），除了在Intel Communities讨论区有着热烈讨论外，同时也让Intel官方人员出面作出回应。
这问题可能与「CPU Voltage Spike」有关。所谓的「CPU Voltage Spike」，其发生原因大多是因为CPU 频率跳动时候电压控制不佳，而突然会要求使用更高的电压。（更正：正确用法是CPU Voltage Spike，而非CPU Temp Spike）
过去，类似情况也曾在Intel 每一个平台见到（AMD 平台也会出现），并不是只有在Intel Core i7-7700 的Kaby Lake 系列处理器上存在。
基本上，「CPU Voltage Spike」可以透过主机板厂释出新版BIOS 进行调整或是改善，但这件事的问题点并不在「CPU Voltage Spike」，而是Intel 官方人员在讨论区上的回应。
名为Ronald 的Intel 官方人员在回应是针对可超频的Intel Core i7-7700K 处理器，而非Intel Core i7-7700 处理器的使用者碰到的高温问题。在回应中，Ronadl 强调Intel 内部调查中，并没有观察到任何超出预期行为与推荐规格外的温度变化。此外，他也建议调整主机板上的风扇转速，而相关内容请参考主机板手册或是网站。

The reported behavior of the 7th Generation Intel® Core? i7-7700K Processor, showing momentary temperature changes from the idle temperature, is normal while completing a task (like opening a browser or an application or a program).
In our internal investigation, we did not observe temperature variation outside of the expected behavior and recommended specifications. For processor specifications, please refer to the Intel® Core? i7-7700K Processor Product Specifications.
Most motherboard manufacturers offer customizable fan speed control settings that may allow for smoother transition of fan revolutions per minute (rpm). Please consult your motherboard manufacturer’s manual or website for instructions on how to change default fan speed control settings.
We do not recommend running outside the processor specifications, such as by exceeding processor frequency or voltage specifications, or removing of the integrated heat spreader (sometimes called “de-lidding”). These actions will void the processor warranty.

然而，最重要的是，Ronald 以「We」提醒使用者说，Intel 不建议处理器运行官方规格以外的时脉、电压或者是移除散热器【顶盖】，而相关行为将会破坏处理器的保固。
如果Intel 官方不建议使用者运行官方规格以外的时脉、电压的话，推出所谓的「K」系列处理器原因还真是让人费解，更别说Intel 还在全球赞助不少超频玩家与相关活动。
